ACCESS STATEMENT FOR ASTORIA COURT, PAIGNTON.
Introduction
Astoria Court is divided into 3 sections, the main house which consists of 6 flats over 2 floors, a large flat with private entrance and a purpose-built extension which has 6 flats over 2 floors.
The house is accessible via 13 steps over two flights which means we are unable to accommodate wheelchair dependent persons, or persons with severe mobility problems.
The large flat with its own private entrance is accessible for people who are able to walk short distances via three steps and a slight incline from the front car park.
The purpose-built extension ground floor rooms are accessible for people who are able to walk short distances and each has a single step of 7” into the lounge.
The first floor flats are accessed via 8 steps and therefore unsuitable for wheelchair dependent persons, or persons with severe mobility problems.
Pre-arrival
We are approximately half a mile, mostly level, walk from both the train and bus stations which are located opposite each other. National coaches also drop at the bus station. There is a taxi rank outside the train station. Taxis can also be pre-booked before your arrival and during your stay.
The main shopping centre is approximately a ten minute walk away.
Unfortunately we cannot accommodate pets
Our brochures and other material can be provided in large print if required. Unfortunately we do not have access to facilities for producing information in Braille.

Arrival and Car Parking
We ask guests not to expect their accommodation to be ready before 2pm, but you are welcome to deposit suitcases beforehand.
We have a large private car park.
Gardens
The garden is for the use of our guests to relax in and enjoy, and is mainly to lawn.
You are welcome to eat or drink in the garden. Smoking is permitted in the garden, SMOKING IS NOT PERMITTED ANYWHERE IN THE BUILDING, THANK YOU.
